Waad al-Kateab est à la fois une jeune femme syrienne comme beaucoup d’autres, une épouse, une mère, et une jeune femme syrienne à part, une femme qui, dès le début de la bataille d’Alep en juillet 2012, a filmé ce qui se passait autour d’elle, une femme témoin de la guerre atroce menée par un dictateur contre son peuple et de la crise humanitaire que cette guerre a générée.

Waad et son mari médecin sont déchirés entre partir et protéger leur fille Sama ou résister pour la liberté de leur pays.
